Who is Rosemary Gray?
I first encountered Rosemary through a letter I found taped to the fishing leader board at Stinky's Fish Camp on the far west end of 30A just across from the Dune Allen Regional Beach Access.
No advertisement. No explanation. Just a brown envelope with the words:
FOR SOMEONE WHO STILL BELIEVES LETTERS SHOULD BE SENT
So i took it. Inside I found a cream-colored letter that gave me a frisson when I read it. A tear brimmed in my left eye.
The letter was signed simply:
Rosemary Gray
30A
A few weeks later, another appeared. This time somewhere else. To this day, I'm not sure if she had been watching me, tracking me or if providence just determined that i would become the finder, and keeper, of her letters.
Eventually one was addressed directly to me.
She somehow knew I was the one who had been reading them.
And tucked inside this particular letter was a note:
"You seem to understand what these are for. Perhaps you could see that they travel farther than I can."

When will my letter arrive?
A letter from Rosemary Gray will arrive once each month—whenever she decides it is ready. We cannot promise the exact day, but subscribers can count on one letter every month. Letters are typically mailed during the third or fourth week of each month. Be sure to subscribe before the cut-off date posted below to receive this month’s letter! If you miss the cut-off, no worries—you’ll automatically be in the queue for next month’s letter.
Are the letters personalized?
The letters are not individually customized beyond the recipient’s name and mailing address. Still, every letter that Rosemary sends is thoughtfully created as if it were written to you—like genuine correspondence meant especially for the person opening it.
Can I give the subscription as a gift?
Absolutely. Letters from 30A makes a thoughtful gift for someone you love—or a little monthly escape for yourself. Simply subscribe using the name and mailing address of the person who should receive the letters.
Where can the letters be delivered?
We currently mail subscriptions to recipients within the United States. International delivery may become available in the future.
